Classmates Learn All About Adam’s Cochlear Implant

Ms. Jackson's third grade class at St. Pauls in Clearwater learned all about hearing and hearing loss when Ms. Judy came for a visit.  Each student drew a diagram of the ear and learned how a cochlear implant works and how they can help their classmate, Adam, who uses bilateral implants.  Adam received his first implant when he was a little over a year old and recently received his second implant.  He and his parents have been working with Ms. Tina at Bolesta to learn to best utilize his hearing through both implants.

Teaming with educators is key to providing meaningful support for clients. We are committed to making school visits and doing what whatever we can to ensure positive outcomes for our clients.
