What does “silent night” mean to you? For those of us who are hearing, we can’t imagine a truly silent night. But for a child with hearing loss, silence might mean not being able to participate fully in all the activities their hearing peers enjoy. Here at Bolesta, our kids don’t know that- because they can go to regular schools, in regular classrooms; play sports; go to the college of their choice; build careers that are productive and personally fulfilling; in other words- they can enjoy lives with no limitations.
This is the result one achieves when today’s technology- either cochlear implants or digital hearing aids, is combined with the specialized Listening and Spoken Language therapy such as Bolesta provides along with the support of our donors- all of whom make it possible for us to fulfill this critical mission.
Silent Night is Bolesta’s annual appeal for philanthropic support. I hope you will help us meet our contribution goal so we can continue to help every child who comes through our doors. Don’t make it a “silent night” for our kids, help us make it a joyous, bright, noisy night- by bringing the gift of listening and speaking to all kids who can benefit.
P.S. Making a gift is easy- just click here. Our kids appreciate your efforts to fill their world with sound!
