Bolesta Center is proud to be recognized as one of the first nonprofits in Central Florida to be totally transparent. You'll be seeing a lot about a new knowledge base established by the Community Foundation of Central Florida to help donors and philanthropists validate the organizations they support. You can be among the first to visit and see everything from our management, governance, and programs to an in-depth look at our finances that is searchable and validated. The Community Foundation's leadership believes this new site will allow local nonprofits more exposure to the community, new sources of funding and improved performance. To see our Portrait, click here.  You'll be asked to establish a login, and then you'll be able to see our portrait by entering our organization's name in the Find Nonprofits Search Field.

Bolesta Center has long been referred to as a hidden gem.  There's just one problem with that moniker- hidden!  After 48 years of operation, it's time for Bolesta to not be hidden.  With the advent of technology like cochlear implants for pediatric use skyrocketing- parents of children born deaf and hard of hearing must be aware of our services.  Because our need for philanthropic funds is so great- potential constituents must be educated to our mission.  And because every single day matters for a baby born deaf who will learn spoken language- the community must be aware of spoken language as an option.

Three factors have recently come together that is sure to do away with the hidden once and for all.  One, the Children's Board of Hillsborough County, understanding the importance of awareness and marketing and of building capacity for an agency such as Bolesta Center, provided technical assistance for a marketing campaign that included our web site redesign.  Two, Brainchild Branding stepped up to the plate and created a fabulous, easy to use site that consolodated www.avli.org into its parent site, was designed to create a brand identity, and capitalizes on factors such as search engine optimization to increase our findability.  And third, Bolesta was recently awarded a $50,000 pro bono marketing campaign set to launch January 1, 2010 by Ad 2 Tampa Bay.  This dedicated group of young marketing professionals are hard at work designing an awareness campaign unlike any Bolesta has experienced.

Bolesta Center . . . the one to watch in 2010!
