Wow! A big thank you to the New York Life Foundation for their support of Bolesta's Orlando expansion. On February 9th, Bolesta board member and long-time New York Life Financial Professional presented a $10,000 check to board members Keith Philipson and Shannon Mahaffey. Funds will be used in Orlando to help more kids who are deaf and hard of hearing learn to use spoken language to communicate. Thanks New York Life!
An Internship at Bolesta is a Positive Experience!

Corri O'Brian traveled all the way from Maine to spend 3 weeks with us! She is a graduate student at Smith College in Northampton, Massachusetts. The program at Smith partners with Clarke School for the Deaf to train master level teachers of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing. Interns spend time at Bolesta observing therapy, assisting with therapy and participating in everyday operations.
Corri was eager to work with our children, in this picture, she participated in a session with Edwin and Wilfredo! Corri also spent 3 days observing the oral program at Seven Oaks Elementary School in Pasco County.
Building capacity is a priority initiative at Bolesta, we strive to assist with training up and coming professionals so that children and familes will recieve the services needed for optimal outcomes. We loved our time with Corri and wish her all the best!
