http://www.bolestacenter.org/blog_main.cfm Updated news and commentary for Bolesta Center Wed, 07 Apr 2010 23:34:03 GMT http://www.bolestacenter.org/blog_main.cfm?btitle=Bolesta+Kids+Speak+to+Lunch+Guests!++Katie,+Rocco,+Ms+Judy,+Linnea+and+Logan!&id=1021&keyx=844684756 <img src="http://www.bolestacenter.org/blog_upimg/img_0316(1).jpg" ><p>Bolesta Center hosted the Let's Hear it for Hearing Lunch Event this week at the Mahaffey Theater in St. Pete, FL.  Katie, a graduate of Bolesta Center entertained the audience with a few jokes and her memories of coming to Bolesta for therapy!  She topped that off by performing a song she wrote and she has a beautiful voice!  </p> <p>Rocco, Ms. Judy and Linnea hosted the event.  Linnea and Rocco were fantastic!  They kept the program going and impressed the audience with their confidence!  </p> <p>Logan, Linnea's brother, helped pass out cookies to attendees and thanked them for coming!  We are so proud of our little entertainers.   </p> <p>Thanks to all of our friends who attended and to our performers....BRAVO!!!</p> Wed, 07 Apr 2010 19:23:15 GMT http://www.bolestacenter.org/blog_main.cfm?btitle=Bolesta+Alumni+Graduates+From+Notre+Dame&id=1020&keyx=702883222 <p><span style="font-size: small;">Every day is rewarding here at Bolesta Center- not a day goes by that I don't witness the success our kids can achieve.  When a toddler calls out "good-bye Miss Kim" for the first time . . . or a child is taken off special graduation standards at school . . . or a teenager stops by to show us her new driver's license- these are all successes for kids who are deaf and hard of hearing.  But today was especially gratifying.  </span></p> <p><span style="font-size: small;">Today we received notice that an alumni, Daniel Morales, will be graduating from the University of Notre Dame on May 16th.  We're all so proud of Daniel's achievement and wish him the best of luck for what looks like will be a very successful future!  Daniel is a great example of what our kid's can achieve.  Learning to listen and speak at Bolesta Center was just the first step to a path that can lead to a life that is successful and rewarding.  Congratulations Daniel!           </span></p> Mon, 05 Apr 2010 13:51:05 GMT
